The bean that we have decided to roast was bought from a cooperative grouping small holder local farmers from the same village in the North east province in Papua New Guinea.   This cooperative pools coffee from all of these farms and ensures that each farmer is getting a premium price for their organic crop. We choose to use direct trade importing to ensure that these small localized farms are not getting screwed by 3rd party companies, or massive chains.
